This aerial photograph below shows the location of Building 14. Building 14 is located on the South Service Road that runs parallel to the Van Wyck Expressway (678). Building 14 is a multi-tenant building which is leased by Japan Airlines Management Corp (JMC). The headquarter offices for the Port Authority are also located in this building.
Signs on the roadway leading into the parking lot show “JMC” and “Port Authority”. The 5k Race starts behind Building 14. Parking is free and is in front of Building 14. If you are using public transportation from Manhattan to the race, our recommendation is as follows:
We suggest using the subway. Use “A” train from NYC to Howard Beach and then take Air Train to Federal Circle.
Another route is to take a subway “E” train from NYC to Jamaica Station and then take the Air Train to Federal Circle.
We have buses at Federal Circle (with signs that say “Port Authority of NY & NJ” and/or “5K Race”) that will take you to Building 14 for the race. After the race, the buses will take you back to the Air Train. Here is the link to the subway maps on MTA’s website. (If the link is broken, please let us know.)
